Oh! My! God! I had the best experience of my life this
weekend! Don’t worry Tech is involved here too. Friday night I was listening to
Everready (The Religion); which is actually the CD that made me start listening
to Tech altogether. The song “Bout ta Bubble” came on my speakers and I
realized how much Tech inspires me to party hard because there is no telling
when the end is; it could come tomorrow for all we know. I convinced myself
that I was going to make the most of my weekend. I went to a party Saturday
night and went all out. In the words of Tech (song: “Bout ta Bubble”) I was
“drinkin’, and smokin’, and humpin’, and loving it!” I can honestly say that it was one of the
best nights of my life, so far. This is what Tech is all about. His music
explains why Tech lives this way. In “Enter Everready”, the intro to Everready
(The Religion), Tech performs a reenactment of a car crash he experienced on a
tour. The van slipped on ice and flipped 5 times. This moment is when he
realized that life is short and it could end at any time. His last line is,
“I’m hearing Krizz Kaliko sayin’ “Thank you Jesus, Thank you Jesus!” The
ambulance and the people that came said that, we were all blessed. You know. To
still be alive after flipping 5 times man. So ever since then, we been
celebrating life baby. We kickin’ it hard! Everydays a PARTY baby!” This is
when I became a Tech fan. The first time I heard this, I was in awe. This
inspired me to start living my life to the fullest everyday because it could
end tomorrow; you never know. For the past 3 years that I have been
Tech-crazed, I have been living this way. I am the happiest I have ever been. I
feel like I am a better person and I can give the credit to Tech. Thank you
Aaron Yates for the look on life you have given me. For the rest of this post,
I will be talking about how society views Tech fans. Critics have called Tech a
Cult Leader, meaning his followers follow him as if he is their leader. They
listen to his music and take what he says seriously like they would if a
preacher is saying it. These people apply his morals in his music to their
everyday lives. Being a true Tech fan, I can openly admit to this. I listen to
Tech like he is my preacher. I don’t have strong views on an actual religion so
I just live my life like there is no tomorrow. After listening to his albums,
you begin to realize how good of a person Tech is on the inside. He has strong
morals and a way of life that everyone envy’s. He cares about his fans and
would rather have the fans than the money. This is the reason he won’t go
mainstream like Lil Wayne or T-Pain. His goals are to gain complete and total
hip-hop dominance. The only way this can be achieved is by having the most fans
in the world. He is already the biggest independent rapper in the world; his
next goal is to be the king of all of hip-hop. People have compared Tech to Jim
Jones. His response was “those people weren’t for the greater good.” I honestly
believe that Techs morals are for the greater good. He wants nothing but the
best for everyone. This is why I have let his music influence my life to the
extent it has. I live my life by one moral “Live life to the fullest, with no
regrets.” I believe this so much that this quote will be tattooed on me by the
end of the semester. Stay tuned next week when I am going to talk about Tech’s
drug life and sex addiction. It should be a very interesting post! See you all
next week!
Inspiration is the key to achieving one’s goal. For Aaron
Yates, inspiration has led him to success.
His family, specifically his mother and uncle, from a young age
surrounded Aaron with music. He took an immediate liking to it and soon started
making beats and singing. His family told him to keep with music, the
inspiration he needed to make this his life goal. His mother told him that to
be happy in life you must be happy with what you do everyday. He took what
seemed to be an impossible dream and turned it into a living. Aaron Yates soon
started producing music. He missed his high school graduation to play his first
real show. Mr. Yates is a very driven individual. He took music and made a
living out of it by creating his own music label, Strange Music. After
succeeding in his initial goal, Tech soon had another goal in life, to make his
name (Tech N9ne) known around the world. He refused to ever go mainstream with
his music because it takes away from the true message within his lyrics. Like I
mentioned earlier, the guy is driven. Tech N9ne is known all around the world.
He has achieved yet another goal which has lead to great success in life. He is
the number one independent rapper in world at the moment, and he plans to stay
on top. Aaron Yates is a prime example of what inspiration can do. He has
inspired millions of people to achieve their goals and to never stop until that
goal has been achieved. He refuses to give up or quit in anything he does. The
topic of this post is inspiration. Now that I’ve mentioned how Tech took his
inspiration and succeeded with his goals in life, let me fill you in on how he
inspires others. Tech N9ne has millions of fans, most of which are inspired by
messages within his music. I have been a Tech fan for about 3 years now. Durring
this time, I have heard almost every song he has put out there. My iPod is
filled with his music and I listen to him everyday. Speaking as a true fan,
Tech has inspired me to live my life the way I do, think the way I do and also
inspired my outlook on life in general. Tech N9ne has helped me realize that it
doesn’t matter what others may think of me, as long as I have achieved
happiness. But, the most important thing that he has taught me through his
music is how to control my inner demons. He has helped me realize that everyone
has an evil side to them, it’s merely a matter of how to control those demons
and not let them control you. In my next post, I will elaborate more on my
demons and how Tech has helped me to be in control of my own life.
This week I will be on the topic of Tech N9ne’s career. In
Tech’s mind, his career in music and his success in the rap industry is the
only thing that matters. He makes it clear in almost every album that he plans
to make it to the top however he can. If one were to actually sit down and
listen to Tech N9ne’s discography, they would understand what Tech is all
about. Every album he puts out, tells a story. They go in order of what is
happening in his life. Through the albums, it begins to become clear that he is
doing just what he says. He is gaining fans and increasing his success
everyday. He has gone from a nobody from Kansas City and turned into a hip/hop
god! He created his own label to fulfill his goal of total hip/hip domination;
he wants to be known around the world. The
strange music label has exploded, Tech has signed many rappers that are all
featured in his records. Names like Big Krizz Kaliko, Kutt Kalhoun, E-40, and
even T-pain and Lil Wayne have joined in on his songs at some point. Tech doesn’t
care about being “mainstream” or having people like him for something he’s not.
In one of his albums, Tech says “I always said, Tech will never go mainstream.
Mainstream will go Tech.” This statement has so far proven to be true. Some of
his albums are merely statements that are directed at the rap industry. For
example, Sickology 101 is basically a slap in the face to rappers everywhere.
It is Tech saying that he is the best one out there and no one will get in his
way on his journey to success. Tech is not afraid to be himself, he is known to
go all out in his records. The opening line of Sickology 101 is “Aye, now
everybody sit down and shut the fuck up. Class is now in session. If you came
here to hear that lovey-dovey shit, GET THE FUCK OUT! If you soft, and scared
of hardcore shit, GET THE FUCK OUT! For those who love raw shit, welcome to
Sickology 101. Your instructor for today is… TECH N9NE!!!” This easily portrays
my point that Tech is not afraid to be straight up and tell you how it is. He
directly tells his audience that this album is meant for people who like
hardcore rap and can handle what Tech has to offer. Tech N9ne is skyrocketing
to the top of the charts. He has taken over underground rap and is now working
his way to total Hip/Hop domination. Tech is forewarning all other rappers of
what is to come. Everything can be found in his lyrics. I just hope the world
is ready for a Technician Revolution.
